In 1985 Ginger Hedstrom attended a workshop for women where the question was asked, Is there something you have always wanted to do and never done? Within two weeks she appeared for the first time as BLOSSOM, the clown. She has since created AUNTIE LENA, the Old Norwegian woman and other characters. A 2003 graduate of the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota, she holds degrees in Theology and Communication Studies. She is a Consociate with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
Blossom and Auntie Lena have visited nursing homes, senior centers, schools, college and elementary classrooms, churches, conventions, workshops, celebrations giving workshops on Healthy Humor; Take Care So You Can Give Care; Domestic Violence Awareness; Violence Against Women and the Church’s Response; The Four “H’s” of Survival; Chaos, Surviving Paradigm Shifts; Justice is not about JUST US and Healthy Aging.
Ginger says, "An interruption changes 'what is' momentarily, providing an environment for Auntie Lenamemories, music, merriment, learning and…" A woman who thrives beyond domestic violence, Ginger brings her passion for justice and zest for life to each interruption. She is available to create an interruption for your life.
